Here are the basic categories I will be using for entries:
Filk: a set of lyrics placed over a modern or traditional tune.
Contrafacta: a set of lyrics placed over a period tune.
Composition: a song/tune I have written in a period style
Period Song: A song with strong evidence of pre-1600 composition.
Periodish Song: A song with weak evidence of pre-1600 composition, traditional settings.
Modern Song: A modern song or poem with no antecedent or attempt at a period style.
Sonnet: A poem crafted in one of the pre-1600 styles of sonnet.
Modern Sonnet: A poem using sonnet structure, but using contemporary themes, ideas or objects.
Contemporary : Other forms of poetry and verse, possibly with strongly modern themes
Essay: A analysis of a topic with a high probability of personal bias
Study: A presentation of material without personal bias or conclusion
Classwork: Material prepared and presented for a class
Management: A discussion about this site itself.Poems
